The Villages of Lake Highlands is a leading provider of memory care services in the Dallas area with over sixty beds dedicated to this specialty. Our residential style memory care community is designed to ease the burden the disease process and related memory conditions places upon families. We incorporate a unique and individualized approach for each resident we care for. This allows us to know the individual’s life story, abilities, and preferences which empowers us to tailor activities and a regime to enhance the resident’s overall quality of life. Villages of Lake Highlands is unique in providing healthcare services to memory care residents across the full spectrum of care, covering early, mid and end stage needs in our ‘Elevated Care’ residences. As memory care residents age in place they become susceptible to the same types of chronic illnesses and orthopedic injuries other seniors experience as part of the natural aging process. Most memory care facilities cannot treat complex medical conditions with their assisted living licensure; however, our licensure combined with higher staffing levels, specialty training, clinical oversight, and specialty equipment allows residents to remain on our campus. Moving a memory care resident to another facility to receive a higher level of care is frequently confusing and upsetting to the resident, and something our residents do not face.

We are the preferred provider of memory care services for the leading assisted living facilities, managed care organizations, and acute care hospitals in the area. Many residents in our ‘Elevated Care’ residences are short term guests who return to home with family or back to their assisted living facility as their health condition or mobility improves. Others elect to stay at Villages of Lake Highlands long term and we are proud they choose to call our facility their home.
